Natural light funneling through a window or doorway into an interior space has long been
a favorite of many painters. With the narrowing of natural light through through a frame, colors are often softly drawn out, shadows and silhouettes may be created. When that
light passes into fabrics it
often takes on a sinuous and undulating luminosity highlighted because of the surrounding darkness.
From outside of the window looking in, glass often provides attractive reflections,
abstraction, and shifting color patterns. |
