Photographer’s Statement
The camera has taken me to very remote corners of this world
on repeated trips to the mountains, deserts and rivers of
Africa, India, the Himalayas, Mongolia and Myanmar.
For those who experience travel to places far from the trodden
path, they know the difficulties in capturing the color, the
strangeness, the undertones and some fragment of the concealed
lives. My hope is to contribute in small part to recording
something of these mysteries.
When close to home in the valley and foothills of Northern
California, I am looking for hidden beauties in a familiar
landscape.
